Through the Fall

Hello Community – it’s Juliet.

Channeling strength from my inner-“Sarah” with some sweet potatoes in the oven, as our local trees reel from recent fires, the forest prepares for its next “chapter,” and sunset comes ever earlier…

Checking in with a seasonal update, a recalibration – and ongoing thanks for your support:

We continue to marvel at the “root structure” of our donors thus far – the stories that connect us, the histories we share…

In our last entry, we shared our goal of $100,000 (by year-end) – at present we’ve raised…

…We’ve raised just over $15,000. Grateful for what we have, for our creativity, and for our impressive ability to pivot (we’ve certainly had practice!), we’re taking time to adjust expectations and re-envision the “Sarah-Verse” on a more intimate scale for 2025’s offering – rest assured, our “North Star” remains: whatever we’ve got, we’ll share.

It’s a strange time to be fundraising for a “new” musical folk fable (...I suppose that’s always true…) and we’re well aware there are many, many more urgent issues swirling around the world, calling for financial contributions (definitely always true…).

I participated in a lot of children’s and community theater musicals growing up – motto of the Michigan-based one my Grandma Mazer music directed: in the hearts of children is the fate of people and nations. That is something I continue to believe.

I continue to see a valuable currency in musicals that can unite and uplift the rooms where they play – and I believe communities benefit from expanding and modernizing the menu of affordable offerings. We continue to believe this musical’s message is worth amplifying.

To that end, may this post make clear: we continue to seek financial support – in any amount.

(Readers with familiarity of the show/us, please continue to spread the word!)

We welcome questions and conversations, eager to grow closer to our financial goals (ideally by year-end, so we may spend the winter reframing and putting plans into action!).

A lovely “something” we shall make – and share – with the resources that flow our way. Looking, as ever, to our trees for inspiration: on the other side of fire comes new growth – here’s to it.

Warmly,
Juliet
